Welcome to Beginner Quilting 101 - Lesson Seven - Adding Borders and Cornerstones to your quilt

In this lesson I will walk you through Measuring your quilt top for borders, cutting, pinning and sewing your borders for your quilt. We add borders to both our sample quilt and a larger quilt.

Quilting 101 is our Beginner Quilter Series and is designed to provide quality instruction for new quilters or to build the knowledge and confidence of experienced quilters in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. In this lesson I will walk you through measuring your blocks for a common size, cutting your sashing strips and squares, correcting mistakes, counting our sashing and adjusting fabric measurements, laying out your quilt, and sewing your rows together to create your quilt center.
