Welcome to Our All-Inclusive Quilting Getaways
Looking for a little break from the grind? Join us for an all-inclusive quilting getaway at beautiful Lake Gaston, North Carolina. Cabin Quilters hosts cozy 5-day/4-night and 4-day/3-night retreats designed for quilters who want time to sew, relax, laugh, make progress, and be taken care of for a few wonderful days.

Our fully equipped retreat studio is ready for you. Bring your favorite sewing machine or leave it at home and use one of ours. Just pack your clothes, your projects, and your favorite comfy sewing outfit — we’ll handle the rest. Retreat pricing includes lodging based on double occupancy, all meals unless otherwise noted, snacks, a wine and cheese mixer on check-in day, retreat goodies, open sewing time, and any listed project kit, class, or optional Quilt Therapy session. Most guest rooms have a beautiful sunrise or lake view, and the retreat center is designed to make your stay feel easy, welcoming, and restful.
Our goal is simple: while you are here, you don’t have to lift a finger to do anything but sew.
What Makes a Cabin Quilters Retreat Special
The retreat is all about you. Work on your own UFOs, bring a brand-new project, join the optional group project when one is offered, or simply enjoy uninterrupted sewing time in a relaxed, encouraging space.
Need a break from quilting? No worries. Enjoy the Main Sundeck, the shaded Lakeside Lounge, the boathouse, the hot tub, or our much-loved massage chair. Watch for turtles, loons, osprey, herons, and the occasional nosy lake pup while you sew, sip coffee, or catch up with friends.
You can also shop Cabin Quilters in person during your stay. We carry fabric, kits, patterns, tools, and quilting goodies, and we are happy to help you choose a project before or during your retreat. This is a low-pressure, high-comfort sewing getaway.
Come with friends, or come by yourself and make new ones.
Quilt Therapy Retreats
Our 2027 retreats are part of our Quilt Therapy Retreat Series — seasonal sewing escapes designed for progress, rest, and creative reset.
These are not high-pressure class retreats. Bring your UFOs, works-in-progress, binding piles, block collections, or a new project you have been waiting to start. Each Quilt Therapy retreat includes plenty of open sewing time, help when you need it, and a small optional seasonal focus to help you get unstuck and enjoy the process.
Come tired. Leave lighter, inspired, and a little more caught up.
