AVAILABLE LECTURES

All Scrapped Out!Making a materpiece from your unruly collection of scraps.  One hour lecture on my method of using scraps of all sizes to create eye-catching designs.  Lecture will discuss how I choose my scraps, methods of sewing and color theory.  How to make the most out of your fabrics, rulers and templates.  Complete trunk show provided as well including quilts from all books and patterns available.   

Quilting Threads (Navigating the endless tips, tricks, books, blogs, patterns and products of the quilting world)A humorous journey through lots of sewing topics including the best tips for getting the job done, little tricks that make life easier and your quilts just a little bit better, the best books for beginners and beyond, blogs that are useful for design, tips and techniques, the best pattern designers and some of the best (and worst) of the products on the market.  For all levels of quilters to learn from and enjoy.  

From Doodling to free motion Quiltingperfect for home machine quilters or longarm quilters new to free motion quilting.  This class is all about learning the beginner and entry level free motion quilting steps that you need to practice in order to work your way up to the tough stuff.  We start by learning about the best teachers and resources and the easiest designs to try.  We practice hand guiding with a handy homemade tool and learn how to practice right on your quilt top without leaving a mark.

Nested Petal Applique Class – ($40/person – minimum of 10 students)

Learn the skills to make the blocks for two of our newest quilt designs designs using our Nested Petal Templates.  All the basic instructions you need for making our Merry Blossoms Quilt and our Scrap Petal Garden quilt using our unique method of machine applique.
