Well… it finally happened.  The website went down.  Right in the middle of the Blogger’s Quilt Festival.  *GASP*.  Imagine the surprise when we checked in to add an event this morning and found the website collapsed in the middle of the night.  Who’s fault was it????

MINE.  The buck stops here.  So if you were trying to look up close and personal at our quilt entries yesterday/this morning and came to the site to find a blank white page and no pretty quilt… you only have me to thank.  I am sorry.  But it’s fixed now.  We are missing a few calendar entries but will soon update all events.

There is nothing more irritating to the staff then when the boss hits a button and messes everything up.  No one wants an emergency on a Saturday morning… but these things happen and we can only learn from our mistakes.  If you have ever been to one of my workshops you know that I am very happy to share my mistakes to keep you from making the same ones.  So to recap…

#1.  When you are using an applique pressing sheet with fusibles make sure that you pay attention to which side is the sticky side.

#2.  If you make a mistake but you can’t see it from more than 3 feet away then it becomes a design element.

#3.  Be careful updating plugins when there has been a recent software update… cause you might take the whole website down.

#4.  Make sure the invoice is inside the box before you seal it up.

#5.  Use a lint roller on the cutting mat after you cut fake fur before you put white cotton background fabric on top of it.

Just a few tips to keep your Saturday morning interesting.  Off to get a few boxes packed before the homecoming dance this evening.  Have a wonderful time viewing the entries on the Blogger’s Quilt Festival (hit the button on the side of the page and be transported) and be sure to comment back and tell me what you think.  Oh… and please feel free to leave your own tips in the comment section below.

Happy Quilting, web surfing and general merriment today.
