I was delighted when I saw a post this morning of my friend Beth’s All Scrapped Out! project.  Beth took my workshop with the Stafford Piecemakers Quilt Guild in Stafford, VA.  This type of scrappy project is a bit out of Beth’s comfort zone so she put all her scraps in a paper bag and pulled them out randomly.  Sometimes when you pop out of your box it can be the hardest thing and you can become almost strangled by self doubt… Will the colors go together?  Will I hate it in the end?  What if it’s just ugly?

Well… even I have trouble sometimes when assembling a quilt top that’s really scrappy.  Some go together easily and others take a little faith.  But in the end they always seem to turn out beautifully.  I am sure that you will agree that the finished product is really fantastic.

I am really proud of Beth.  As you can see she used her leftover pieces to make her corner blocks.  What a wonderful use of fabric.  Thanks for sharing Beth.  Have a scrap happy quilting day.
